Announcements

1.  There will be a Track and Field meeting during lunch on Friday in Mr. Adams' room @ 12:20. If you are interested in being part of the team, you must be at this meeting.
2. Earth Day Fact...8.3 BILLION Metric Tons (9.1 BILLION US Tons) of plastic has been produced since plastic was introduced in the 1950s.[ The amount of plastic produced in a year is roughly the same as the entire weight of humanity.
We have 2 Earth Day Challenges... If you bring in a lunch without any garbage or bring a  refillable bottle to school instead of a plastic water bottle... Come see Mr. Adams for your ballot to win a prize.
3. Today is Clean Sweep...We will be showing our leadership in helping improve our community.
4. Congratulations to the Grade 8 Badminton team on their participation in the annual WECDSB tourney. You should be proud of your efforts and steady improvement throughout the year.

2. Earth Day Fact...Trees are essential tools in the fight for a cleaner, sustainable environment. According to the Earth Day Network, in one year a single acre of mature trees absorbs the same amount of carbon dioxide produced by driving the average consumer car 26,000 miles.

2. There is a mandatory Grade 8 Badminton meeting today at lunch. There is also a doubles and mixed doubles practice tonight for the both the Grade 7 and Grade 8 badminton teams.

1. Grade 7 and 8  Badminton Singles practice tonight after school.
2. Earth Day Fact...Every year in the U.S. nearly 200 billion beverage containers are sold, two-thirds of which are landfilled, incinerated or littered.
3. Bottle Challenge...Our goal at CCMS is to decrease the amount of plastic bottles that we use. Over the next week we will be having a draw for a prize if you bring a refillable bottle to school instead of a plastic water bottle. Come see Mr. Adams for your ballot.
