Girls soccer game

Congratulations to the girls soccer team who went to St William last night and left with their third win of the season in a 3-2 victory. It was a  job well done with determined defensive play and some super sniping from Mykaela Everitt who fired 2 top shelf lasers and also from Jada Riccardi who curled one in on a corner kick. Great job ladies and keep up the hard work.  Next practice is Thursday morning.

Boys Soccer vs St. William

On Monday afternoon, our CCMS boys traveled out to Emeryville to play the Wildcats of St. William.

Both teams opened the game playing confident soccer, with excellent passing and strong defence.  Our boys would open the scoring about halfway through when tender Lucas booted the ball down the field, creating a breakaway goal for Zach.  The Wildcats would tie the game later in the half during a scramble in front of the Cardinal net.

Our boys would take over in the second half, however, forcing the play on St. William's side of the field.  Zach would tally once more, and Liam put the icing on the cake late in the game, sealing a 3-1 victory.

Incredible hustle was shown by Josh, Aidan and Roman on the defensive side.

Great job boys.  We will practice Wednesday after school.
