Boys Soccer

Congrats to the CCMS Boys soccer team who travelled to St. Pius yesterday afternoon to play their first game of the season.

The boys got off to a great start and jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Andrew P.  That goal seemed to spark St. Pius, however, and they turned up the heat on our Cardinals and kept most of the play in our end for the 1st half.  They eventually tied the game 1-1 as the teams went into halftime.

The 2nd half was very different than the 1st.  Our Cardinal boys tilted the field in St. Pius' direction and put heavy pressure on the home side for the entire second half.  With about 10 minutes left, Marko B. put our Cards ahead to stay with a low shot in the box.  The final score was 2-1 Cardinals.

Congratulations boys.  Our next game is at St. Peter on Monday afternoon.

Girls Soccer Meeting

There will be a very important soccer meeting at 12 noon today for the girls' soccer team in Mr. Trepanier's room.  The team will start their season tonight with a home game on the Brennan field after school against St. Pius.  Come on out to support our team.

Dance

Attention all students interested in being on the dance team!  Tryouts begin today at 1220! See you in the dance room at lunch!

Youth Dance Friday Night

First youth dance of the school year Friday night at Most Precious Blood Church for grades 5-8 from 7-10pm. 

Cost is $5 at the door and snacks are extra. 

Christine and the youth leader crew are looking forward to seeing you there!

Welcome all gamer's to room 16 at 12:20 today for FREE PLAY WEDNESDAY as there is a P.D. Day on Friday.  New gamer's are always welcome, but arrive promptly as chairs go quickly.

Social Justice

Good morning CORPUS ... 

This is an invitation to all students with a BIG HEART. Corpus Christi prides itself in DOING GOOD in our school, in our community and in our world.  The Social Justice club is a group of individuals who gather and plan charity acts that help make the world a better place.  We organize campaigns like "We Scare Hunger - food drive", we fund raise to help build schools in poorer countries in our world, we have knit hats for the homeless.  This club runs all year long and will meet once a week to plan, organize and run different events for charity.  It has been referred to as the Caritas club but it really is about SOCIAL JUSTICE.

If this is something you are willing and excited to be a part of please come to Mrs. Room today at 12:20.  Room 26 (back near the music/dance room).  Today will just be an information and sign up meeting.
