Congrats to the CCMS Boys soccer team who travelled to St. Pius yesterday afternoon to play their first game of the season.

The boys got off to a great start and jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Andrew P. That goal seemed to spark St. Pius, however, and they turned up the heat on our Cardinals and kept most of the play in our end for the 1st half. They eventually tied the game 1-1 as the teams went into halftime.
The 2nd half was very different than the 1st. Our Cardinal boys tilted the field in St. Pius' direction and put heavy pressure on the home side for the entire second half. With about 10 minutes left, Marko B. put our Cards ahead to stay with a low shot in the box. The final score was 2-1 Cardinals.
Congratulations boys. Our next game is at St. Peter on Monday afternoon.
